She is experienced in all facets of marketing, communication, media and issues management, with strengths in strategy development, social marketing campaigns that influence behaviour and benefit communities, community outreach and engagement, and writing and editing.
Michelle has developed and implemented numerous large-scale communication campaigns, primarily focused on service delivery and social policy initiatives. Her experience includes managing child support communications at the Australian Government Department of Human Services, leading corporate communication and the national campaign for two Censuses and the Australian Marriage Law Postal Survey at the Australian Bureau of Statistics, and delivering advertising campaigns for a range of public health programs and initiatives at what is now the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing.
From strategy through to execution and evaluation, Michelle forges strong, collaborative relationships with clients to delivering meaningful outcomes. She takes strategic and purposeful approach to communication, always guided by audience insights and needs, and focused on identifying proven, best practice solutions to complex policy and communication challenges.
Michelle is also experienced in research and engagement activities, including the facilitation of workshops, webinars and focus groups. She is a skilled project and budget manager and always prioritises client needs and deadlines.
Michelle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing Production from Queensland University of Technology.
